Printing & E-Mailing Results

Printing search results from Pathfinder is done via your web browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Firefox, Safari, etc.). The computer you are using must be connected to a printer in order for this feature to work.

Because the Pathfinder screen is divided into several "frames", some web browsers (including Internet Explorer) may not give the results you expect if you simply click on the "print" button. To avoid this problem:

  1. Move your mouse pointer to an empty area of the frame containing the actual results
  2. Right-click the mouse and choose Print from the menu that appears.

In many cases, the most useful screen to print is the Show Saved display, which can be viewed after records are Saved (See Saving.)

E-Mailing

Once you have saved a set of catalog records, click on the E-Mail/Display Saved button to display them in the main frame of the screen. You can then enter any valid e-mail address, inside or outside UC Berkeley, to receive the e-mail. Be sure to include the ENTIRE email address (for example, wombat@garnet.berkeley.edu).
